This year has posed immense challenges for almost every American. Our lives have been upended in too many ways to count. Our team at the Waynesville-St. Robert Regional Airport has seen this first-hand. We’ve especially missed seeing families fly in to see their service members for the first time in months and celebrate graduations.
Typically, this is the time of year where many nonprofit organizations seek donations to support others. Never has it been more important to give to others, especially our nation’s military families who have faced all of these challenges with the added stress of deployments, family separations, and moving to new duty stations.
Below we’ve listed 10 of our favorite military-focused and military-connected organizations who work tirelessly to support America’s military families. Though they’d all gladly take a financial donation, many are simply looking for volunteers to help carry out their missions. If your family is looking for a way to give to others this holiday season, we hope this list gives you a good starting point!
